Visions of the Past: Part 1

A tree giggles as I silently pass the moonlit leaves. Peeking behind the bush at the base of the trunk I find my sister Allaemis, giggling at how long it has took me to find her. “Your turn to hide now Nelspa!” she yells in Darnassian as she runs off into the distance. Sighing and thinking I am getting a little old for this at nearly 120, I pull myself up into a nearby tree and arrange the branches to cover myself.

“Ready!”

Sat in the tree some time later, I start to wonder what could have happened. I climb down starting to worry.

“Allaemis?”

My mother appears, her beautiful green hair framing her heart shaped face, I would never forget the look she held on her face that day; sheer amusement at her two scoundrel daughter’s game of hide and seek.

“I was wondering when you would both turn up, your father and brother are almost ready to go… You should come and wish them well, particularly as this is your brother’s first trip to the emerald dream.”

Sighing, I start to walk back to the house…

A voice calls to me from far away...
”Nelspa? Can you hear me?”

The voice sounds familiar, yet I can’t place it. It seems to come from another life.

“Leave me alone, mother wants me”

“Mother?... She’s hallucinating again…”

I open my eyes, the picture is fuzzy as if seen through fog. Allaemis is stood over me, a damp looking cloth held in her hands.
“Where am I?”

“Darnassus, you’ve been here for days…We’re losing her again…”

The picture fades as I lose consciousness once more…
